How do I obtain an accounts in the OSG GOC ticket system (Footprints)?
- Request an account by emailing goc at opensciencegrid dot org. A ticket will be created in the Footprints ticketing system by GOC staff. Your request should include your group affiliation (for example, troubleshooting team or gratia team, etc.) and a purpose for the account.
- You must review the training documentation. FP Training PowerPoint.
- You must then submit a response back to the GOC (GOC ticket) confirming that you have reviewed the PowerPoint training and that you agree to work tickets in accordance with stated policies.
- You're given an individual account and added to your affiliated group in the ticketing system. The GOC ticket regarding your request for access can be closed.
- Tickets you work should be assigned to you AND to your group. Thus, emails regarding the ticket will go to the assigned member of the group (you) as well as the group's designated LISTSERV or majordomo list.
- Tickets being worked by you or your group should be set to a Support Agency status, just like a Support Center. If the GOC is to be involved, a member of the Operations Workgroup should be assigned and the Status set to Engineer, with ENG NAI and NAD fields completed.
- A central contact for each non-GOC-related group will be maintained and it will be that individual's responsibility to notify the GOC of staff changes within their group(s) so that the account(s) that are no longer needed may be removed from the ticket system. It is also that contact's responsibility to oversee tickets assigned to that group.
Questions about this policy can be directed to the OSG GOC.
