The OSG Executive Board and the OSG Grid Operations Center have announced May 16 and 17 for the Operations and Support Centers Workshop on the campus of Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Representatives from all OSG Support Centers and Operations Groups should plan to attend.

Topics suggested to be discussed include, but are not limited to:

  1. Defining/creating policy and procedure to govern actions between Support Centers and Operations.
  2. Training for Support Center representatives to use existing tools for testing, validation, and monitoring resources on the OSG.
  3. Setting support expectations and responsibilities for Support Centers.
  4. Handling security incidents.
  5. Exploring ticket automation and other programatic services for Support Centers and Operations.
  6. Defining Support Centers responsibilities for notification and follow through to OSG resources for software updates/patches/upgrades.

This year's Open Science Grid workshop is being held at the Informatics and Communications Technology Complex (ICTC) on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus. The ICTC is located at the corner of West Street and Michigan Street in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. A campus map is available at:

Hotel Accommodations

Each Open Science Grid attendee is responsible for making his or her own hotel reservations and assumes the cost of all overnight accommodations and incidentals. As Indianapolis is the host city for many large conferences and events and downtown hotels often fill up quickly, we recommend that reservations be made as soon as possible.

Overnight accommodations are available at University Place Conference Center (UPCC), located on the IUPUI campus within walking distance of the ICTC, as well as many Indianapolis attractions. Newly renovated, all guest rooms feature complimentary wired and wireless network access, ample workspace, and 32" flat panel televisions.
